I again have the honor of participating on a panel presentation at the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Annual Convention. This year’s convention is in Destin, Florida and I will be presenting on behalf of the Section on Insurance, Negligence, Workers Compensation and Admiralty. Although this isn’t the first time that I will be addressing this group, as I’ve been organizing the program for the past 20 years & chair the section, I am still excited about having the opportunity to share my thoughts with fellow Louisiana lawyers.
In the past, we have featured some pretty big names in law and politics such as President Ford, Pat Buchanan and Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick. This year, I will be joined by a blue ribbon panel of 2 federal judges and the former dean of LSU law school. We will be discussing recent developments in tort law. It’s great to see judges and lawyers care enough to stay current on legal developments and are constantly taking steps to improve the legal system.
