This Shigella outbreak was first reported to New York’s Onondaga County Health Commissioner after 7 people became ill between March 7th and 8th. Now, health officials believe that anyone that visited the restaurant between March 1st and March 20th may have been exposed to Shigella. As many as 9,000 people could have been exposed to the food borne illness.
