Police are looking for a driver that fled the scene of an accident after hitting and killing a pedestrian. The crash occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, on U.S. Hwy. 171, milepost 62.8, in Vernon Parish south of Leesville.
A passing motorist informed Troopers that she observed a blue sedan pass the crash location at a high rate of speed.
