Two 18-wheelers smashed into each other earlier this morning in Iberia Parish, sending one of the drivers to the hospital.
Louisiana State Police and first responders were on the scene within minutes of the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Patoutville Road and U.S. 90. One driver was taken from the scene by ambulance to the Iberia Medical Center.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, which officials believe prevented serious injury.
